Devin Compton Guzmán

NARRATIVE Director

Devin Compton Guzmán is a Narrative Designer and Writer. Born and raised in rural Michigan, Devin began college at 16 studying Creative Writing and Theater at the University of Michigan. At 18, she moved to New York City to complete her studies at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy majoring in Musical Theater Performance. She pivoted to developing her own creative works in 2016.

Driven by a desire to tell stories centered on women, POC, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, Devin specializes in prose, world building, environmental storytelling, and script writing. She has served as a ghost writer, script doctor, and concept consultant throughout her career and is a staunch advocate for ethical wages and on-set safety for performers and crews.

With a diverse background in creating and producing off-Broadway and site specific shows, Devin has most recently served as Concept Designer, Narrative Designer and Head Writer for Cinereal’s critically acclaimed NYC production of The Unbrunch. Lauded as “the next generation of immersive theater” for its fully narrative angle, The Unbrunch ran off-Broadway from January-November 2019.
