A THEATRICAL DINNER PARTY REIMAGINED AS A LUCID DREAM

Fusing culinary indulgence with theatrical storytelling, CHIMERA was a decadent immersive dinner series conceived and produced exclusively for the Norwood Club in New York City. Designed to spark connection among the city’s most creative minds, the experience blended performance and cuisine in an intimate, imaginative setting.

Guests began the evening on the Club Level with cocktails and a whimsical welcome by an eccentric husband-and-wife duo who claimed to have “inherited” the storied townhouse. After a raucous group toast, the couple led guests upstairs to a lavish, absinthe‑inspired dinner that was woven with impromptu serenades, storytelling, and unexpected invitations to explore the Norwood Club’s secret spaces.

Throughout the night, guests were drawn into an unfolding transformation. Hidden rooms revealed surreal encounters, including a greenhouse dreamscape where a young woman, watched through panes of misted glass, transformed into a green fairy. This fairy reappeared throughout the meal, growing more present with each pour of absinthe, personifying the spirit’s storied mythos.

At dessert’s end, guests were blindfolded and served a final absinthe shot. When the blindfolds were lifted, their eccentric hosts had vanished…leaving only the green fairy behind for a final haunting dance before the guests departed.
