A LABYRINTH OF INTERWOVEN STORIES

Cinereal Productions was brought on board to help create Hotel Wonderland, a monumental immersive theatre experience that transformed a sprawling former factory in Amsterdam into a living narrative universe.

With 12 fully developed characters, each starring in a unique 3-hour storyline, audiences could explore more than 30 hours of original content. These storylines intertwined, diverged, and overlapped, allowing each guest's journey to help shape the overall narrative.

Guests chartered their own path , uncovering secrets, forging connections, and confronting the tension between The Known and The Unknown. The experience was the first permanent, large scale immersive theater experience in continental Europe and the story was told in English, Dutch, and Spanish.

Cinereal led the project from concept to execution in the following categories:

Narrative Architecture: Conceived, scripted, and choreographed all 12 interwoven storylines, exploring themes of purpose,yearning, memory, and destiny.
Casting & Direction: Hand‑selected the ensemble cast, led rehearsals and technical runs, directed, and shaped every beat of the audience‑actor interaction including choreographed sequences.
Scenic Design & Installation: Crafted an expansive, multi‑layered environment– each room a portal into a character’s inner world– while managing a network of artists and fabricators.
On‑site Creative Direction: Worked on-site in Amsterdam for three months to oversee installation, set decoration, and continuous refinement through previews.
